Project: Route 66 World Record and Fund Raiser from September 19 - 29 2009 The route leads from Chicago through 8 federal states
Illinois-Oklahoma-Missouri-Texas-Kansas-New Mexico- Arizona and California where it ends at pier 57 in Santa Monica.
The 13-fold worldrecord holder and 7-fold world champions INDI and his Team Indi 200 masters this unbelievable distance (approx. 500 - 600 miles/day) on Rollerblades in only 10 days, switching between "behind a car" and "behind a motorcycle". A show is planned in each of the bigger towns on Route 66. The whole convoy is accompanied from beginning to end by TV and Media and guarantees thus a huge advertising effect. Also the possibility exsists for fans to rent a Harley Davidson and to accompany the great event "route 66" via a tour operator.
The personal materials needed for INDI during this project are: 8 Arai helmets (one new one in each state), 8 USA leather estate cars and 32 pair of Rollerblades (4 pairs per state). At the end Indi will give all materials to a professional auctioneer where the products will be auctioned off in a VIP auction. 66 % of the proceeds from the auction will be given to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger for the repair of Route 66. At the link up party on Pier 57, e.g., with Country star Alan Jackson and Allison Kraus, or Shania Twain singing the new version of the song of Nat King Cole "Get Your Kicks of Route 66" Invited guests from politics, entertainment and film will bring high profile participation. Possible partners from the auto industry, are Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge, Cadillac as a drawing vehicle and trucks for escorts and media vehicles. Possible partners from the motorcycle industry, are Harley Davidson, Honda, and Suzuki also again as a drawing vehicle, escorts and media vehicles. The vehicles could be driven, for example, by VIPs like King to Richard
Petty or people from the film and show business.Another possibility exists, that the auto industry will produce in the next year a Limited Edition Series with a Route 66 / Indi 300 Embleme and bring it to market.
